My name is Rose Stewart and I’m a trained hypnotherapist and wellness coach working face to face in Essendon and online

It’s my passion to help people with their physical and emotional health and empower them to make positive changes in their lives.

After years of making lifestyle changes to address physical and emotional issues (including digestive and hormone problems and persistent anxiety) mostly triggered by stress, I decided to undertake study in hypnosis and wellness and coaching so I could help others feel great and love their lives again too.

I now work 1 on 1 with clients using hypnosis, along with mindfulness, movement and somatic practices to manage and reduce digestive distress, chronic pain and anxiety and to increase energy and vitality.

Years ago, I had a good job, strong relationships, and faced no significant ‘problems’ in my life. Despite this, I grappled daily with uncomfortable digestive issues, overwhelming anxiety, and constant worry about almost everything. These strong emotions often impacted my physical body, particularly my gut.

My Story

A Better Way

The teacher in me insisted there must be a better way to manage my physical and emotional health. Along my journey for a healthier mind and body, I tried many things—from working with my GP to acupuncture, naturopathy, supplements, herbs, and elimination diets where there was almost nothing I could eat.

I finally ventured across gut-directed hypnotherapy. I did six sessions of this with a wonderful practitioner, and the positive impacts were profound, but there were still some symptoms, stress and anxiety that still lingered.

Shortly after this, I came across the most important piece of the puzzle for me, discovering the work of Dr. John Sarno and subsequently modern masters of neuroplastic pain, Dr. Howard Scubiner and Alan Gordon.

Coming to understand what can be called Tension Myositis Syndrome (TMS) or Mind Body Syndrome (MBS) or what I like to refer to as neuroplastic pain and symptoms was an absolute game-changer for me.

While I knew and understood that emotions could cause pain and symptoms, I didn’t fully understand before this point how my mind was involved in my pain and how I could correct this.

I’ve since learned as much as I could about neuroplastic pain and symptoms, and I now use this understanding and the related healing strategies to help my clients with a range of conditions from IBS to chronic pain and anxiety.

A New Chapter

Implementing these simple changes consistently to address my neuroplastic pain and symptoms, significantly improved my mental, physical and emotional health, transforming my entire life and allowing me to rediscover fun and ease.

How I Help Others

Now, my goal is to assist others in reclaiming their lives, freeing them from the constant struggle with physical and emotional discomfort. I do this through a combination of pain reprocessing, coaching and hypnotherapy.
